About Myself

My name is Susmita Mandal. I am an artist from Aurora, Illinois, USA. I was born and brought up in India.

Although I have done my Bachelors in Mathematics from India and finished my diploma course in Art (Drawing and Painting) in my childhood from Kolkata, I have been a full time artist, following my passion for Art since 2015. I started providing art classes for kids, did few paint parties collaborating with Montessori schools and did solo Art Exhibitions.

I am specialized in Landscape painting, Abstract painting, Portrait painting, Hindu mythology based paintings, Still life painting, and also love to use different mediums like Acrylic paint, Oil paint, Coloring pencils, Graphite and Charcoal pencils, soft pastels and oil pastels.

I am happily married and have two handsome sons. Painting played an important role in my life, it’s like meditation for me. I love to travel and spending time with my beautiful family. Collecting different art mediums and art supplies is what I enjoy.
